John was a Navy Corpsman at Khe Sanh with the 3rd Bn 26th Marines. Carl and John died almost a year apart.

Johnny was my best male friend. Long conversations about Carl. Helped me study for history regents...I failed. Wrote me letters every summer. Found out later in life he loved me. We would have made a great couple.
