Carl was a Navy Corpsman with the 1st Bn 4th Marines and was at Con Thien when it was over run in May, 1967. He was wounded in action twice and received a medical retirement from the USN. I missed Carl by one month when I arrived in June at the 1st Bn 4th Marines.
