Richard has been active in genealogy circles for many years. He is a member of the Mormon Church's Genealogy Board of Directors, he produces a daily newsletter at eogn, and he will give the keynote address at the Maine Genealogy Society's annual conference in the fall. He has presented programs to many groups including two in New Zealand last year. He has traveled to England and all over the United States to present programs at conferences as well as participating in several cruise ship programs.
