Gerald Small

Gerald Small

Class of 1974

Gerald Small graduated from Desert in 1974. A three sport all league and All CIF selection in football, basketball and track, Gerald received a full football scholarship to San Jose State. After a four year stellar college career Gerald was drafted by the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. Gerald became a starter corner halfway through his rookie season and made his first start on Monday Night Football. Gerald played severn years for the Dolphins and one year for the Atlanta Falcons before retirement. Gerald passed away in 2007 in Sacramento, California.
