Les holds multiple Instructor and Instructor Trainer certifications in Emergency Medicine, Industrial and Structural Firefighting, Industrial and Confined Space Rescue, and Industrial Safety.
Les has been member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians since 1993, and is currently on the Membership Committee. He was the 2006-2007 Texas Governor, and Chair of the Industrial EMS Society.
Les also served on the Board of Directors for the Emergency Medical Services Association of Texas. Member of Louisiana Society of EMS Instructor / Coordinators since 1989, and National Association of Flight Paramedics (now the International Association of Flight Paramedics) since 1995. In 2005 Les was appointed by the President of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) to assist the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) as part of a Traumatic Injury from Terrorism Task Force.
Groves Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Center 2008 President, and the Web designer and Webmaster, as well as Chair for several committees. Member of the Sabine-Neches Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers where he served as the 2007-2008 President and was Webmaster.
Les currently works full time as a Health Safety and Environmental Manager for Renewable Bio Fuels. He also still volunteers as a Paramedic/Firefighter.
Les was certified as an American Heart Association, Instructor; September 1981, American Heart Association appointed him Affiliate Facility, and was appointed Training Center Facility in November of 2005.
Tactical EMS, Hazardous Materials Medical Specialist Level I and II, Municipal Firefighting III, Basic Trauma Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Asbestos Supervisor, Asbestos Inspector, Radiation Safety Officer, Substance Abuse Program Administrator. CSST.
Les was saluted in Texas EMS Magazine September/October 2009, received the 2009 EMS Responder of the Year Award for Ascension Parish Fire District 1 - 7th District Fire Department and he is the recipient of Industrial Fire World's 2010 Connie Gross Award, presented at the 25th Annual Industrial Fire World Emergency Responder Conference and Exposition. The Connie Gross Award is given to emergency responders for their dedication to emergency response in corporate and volunteer work behind-the-scenes to educate emergency responders and protect people and property.
