US Navy Lieutenant Commander, Active Duty USN Retired. Enlisted in 1990 E1-E6, then Commissioned Line Officer in 1999, Retired from USFFC Norfolk, VA September 1, 2012. Operation Desert Storm Veteran.

Army, 20+ Years
I joined the Army in 1971 right after graduating from DTHS and asked to go to Vietnam but was sent to Germany instead where I spent the next 7 years. From there I returned to the states for a year and was soon right back in Germany for another 4 years. By the time I retired in 2001 I had served in Europe a total of 15 years of the 30 years I served on active duty. What a blast!

Entered Basic just after graduation from HS. I was an Aerospace Physiology Instructor, training aircrew on the adverse effects of flight. (GREATEST JOB IN THE WORLD!!) Major assignments included Laughlin AFB, Texas; Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan; Holloman AFB, New Mexico; Tyndall AFB, Florida. Retired after 20 years in 2003.

Zach served 5 yrs in the Air Force before switching to the Army to be a Cavalry Scout. Where he served in Korea and Iraq. Zacharie died from PTSD and TBI related issues from his service on August 29th, 2014. Our Hero

I entered the Army in Jun 95. I will have 23 years in Jun 18 and am a Master Sergeant (E-8). I have served all over the world to include, Hawaii, Germany, Korea, Kuwait, Iraq and various stateside locations. I have been in various positions to include, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, and Drill Sergeant. Currently, I am an Inspector General at The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. I enjoy taking care of Soldiers and their families. I love what I do. Retirement is in my future, but for now, I will continue to serve.
