Class of 1969
National Guard, 20+ Years
I served in the Air Force & KY Air National Guard for 30 years, retiring in 2004. I started out in the Air Force in 1974 as an Aircraft Electrician. I was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California until 1977. I moved to Kentucky & joined the Kentucky Air National Guard in 1979. I was the first women hired fulltime in the KYAng in aircraft maintenance. I transferred to the Avionics section and worked my way up to become the Avionics Element Leader & was in charge of Integrated Instruments, Communications Navigations & the Electronic Countermeasure shops. My deployments included Bosnia, Somolia, & Panama etc.
