About Me	I earned my Master of Divinity from Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, IN and served as a campus minister at Ball State University. Moving back to Iowa, my husband and I co-pastored churches near Waterloo. We spent 17 years in the Iowa Quad City area. In 1999 I became the Founding Director of Rick's House of Hope Center for Grieving and Traumatized Children in the Quad Cities. In 2001 Rick's House of Hope was recognized as The Trauma and Loss Agency of the Year by the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children. I have served as a member of the Iowa Peace Network and traveled to the Soviet Union in 1988 on a Peace Mission Tour. I also have traveled on mission trips to Juarez, Mexico and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in San Antonio, Texas. My husband and I served as Executive Officers for the National United Methodist Clergy Couples Association. I am a certified Children's Trauma and Loss Consultant and School Trauma Specialist and also earned a Death and Grief Studies Certificate from Colorado State University and the Center for Loss in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am an ordained Deacon and full member of the Iowa Annual Conference United Methodist Church. I am near completion of my first full-length novel and looking for a publisher.
