I served 10 years as a U. S. Marine Infantryman/Counter Terrorist/ Embassy Guard. Best years of my life!!!! Multiple Combat tours. Medically retired in 1993. Got my Doctorate in Pharmacy from U of F in 2000. I would go back to my Marine Brothers in a heart beat!!

I retired as a First Sergeant in 2007 and currently live and work up by Fort Drum, NY. I served literally all over the world. To include Afghanistan and Iraq in back to back deployments in support on the war on terror. I also participated in both Desert Shield and Desert Strom and operations in Somalia in the early 90's.

I, Edward J. Dutton, am posting this for James Marshall '81 because he died a long time ago in the service of America. I want my Brother Warrior to know that you are always the first name I pronounce when I drop shots of Tequila in honor or my true Brothers, you were the first Brother Warrior that I knew that gave it all. I am so sorry that I was not there to cut you loose!!! You are loved, missed, respected but never forgotten as long as I live. I will see you at my final LZ. Semper Fidelis my Brother, Dutton....sends.

I enlisted in the Marine Corps 6 months before graduation and went to boot camp on my birthday. I served in 1 tour in Vietnam as an aerial recon her photographer with VMCJ-1. I also served with VMCJ-2, VMFP-3, and as a Marine Corps recruiter. I ended my service as a Staff Sargeant (Gunnery Sargeant selectee) in 1977.

Our Deer Park High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Deer Park High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
