Update from last night's planning meeting... We decided to go with a buffet dinner at Outpost which will be $19.99 per plate (prices are not set in stone due to price of beef varying, but should be close). FYI, buffet will consist of three meats: Baron of Beef, smoked ham, and baked chicken; baked potato; mixed green salad w/dressings, and fruit salad. We will be doing some fundraising, so if that goes well, it may be able to cover any increase in the cost of beef for us. Stay tuned here for Tupperware fundraiser information - - you will be able to make and pay for purchases (and we ALL need Tupperware!) on-line. Forty percent will go to the reunion fund which we hope to use to cover postage, decorations, photos, etc.. Becky (Bourman) Trudel is our treasurer and will be opening an account this week with the committee members' payments to get us going. Again, stay tuned here for further information... :o)
We also had extensive discussion on two subjects we are seeking feedback on:
1) The idea of a "family day" on Sunday afternoon, after the WRF parade is over. Pam has a friend who owns a resort up north which would be a nice venue for kids/grandkids to enjoy while we visit and she will post more about that. We are having some difficulty coming up with something we feel confident everyone would want, concerns that people may have to head out by Sunday afternoon, etc. Ideas would be appreciated... please throw them out here, folks! Pam will post additional information regarding the resort we talked about here on the event page, in conjunction with posting other lodging information for those who are traveling in and will need somewhere to stay, so stay tuned.
2) What does everyone think about having a Class of 1984 float in the WRF parade? It could be a lot of fun, and the parade can always use interesting features like The Class of 1984, but it would require a little work so we need to know 'who-all' could be convinced to participate in the fun before putting our efforts into details.
These two subjects are things we intend to explore further at our next meeting, Saturday, April 19th at 4:00 p.m. at Blueberry Bowl. PLEASE take a moment to provide feedback, or join us at the planning meeting. Thanks!

Details: Trying to plan a get together on the 11th at Hayslips in Talmoon at 5pm. Main event will be on the 12th at Outpost Bar & Grill in Deer River. Meet & greet will be at 5pm and dinner at 6pm. Then go torment the street dance. lol We are also trying to put together a family get together on the 13th. Still trying to work everything out. I will post details as we figure them out.
