It's time to save the date for our next reunion! It looks like Saturday, August 6th is the day that will work best for The Bachmans, our ever gracious hosts!!! Bird and Chelle and Jay...are you available? I'll be sending out the usual e-mail, outlining what to bring, map and itinerary for the day etc., soon. In the meantime, I would like to ask for some help. First, once again, this will be open practically to everyone! Ha! Nah! But it's almost like, if you ever even walked past DPHS, you are invited! Ha! Nah! Well, yeah. Anyway...if you attended DPHS, you're invited. What I need is for you to help get the word out. If you have siblings, or cousins, or neighbors that went to Deer Park, please let me know any contact information you can get. I think we'll put something on TV and I will be speaking with the office at DPHS to see what they have. Next, it has been requested, rightfully so, that I enlist some help with set up the day of the picnic (so many of you offered your help and I'm not known for delegating well). There is not a lot to do, but it would entail going out earlier in the day to set up tables for food, the grills and the like. Last time, I got detained and Dan and Jackie and Sherry (Minning) Heffern, (forgive me if I'm leaving anyone else out) had to do it all. So, if 8 to 10 of you would like to lend a hand, please let me know. So, look for the flyer soon. It will, once again, have a tear off so you can send back with your money. For those of you who have not yet attended, the money (not yet decided, but will be under $15 a head) goes for meat and buns, plates and utensils. OK, I was going to announce this later, but we have Cheap Thrill playing again!!! We had such a great time dancing and singing along to the great tunes we grew up with!!
