Enlisted 12/27 with basic training at Fort Polk, LA.
Graduated flight school 2/73 at Ft. Rucker, AL.
Served in Germany, Korea, Italy (Turkey, Grease, Iraq), Forts Rucker, Bragg, (Honduras), and lastly, Hood flying Chinooks (Cargo Helicopters).
Retired 3/03 with 31 years living on Lake Belton, TX..... and loving it!

Served in the united States Army for twenty years. First ten years wa as a eprsonnel specialist, it was rather boring. I then changed my job to a electronic warfare noncommunications Interceptor. I intercepted eletronic impulses and determeined what equipment/weapon systems were operating in the area.

Joined the Air Force in Aug 1971. Basic training at Lackland AFB, TX then off to Keesler AFB, MS for training. Then off to Lowry AFB, CO for more training. 1st Duty Station was Offutt AFB, NE, then Thailand '73'/74, back to Offutt AFB, NE. Left Nebraska in '79 for Scott AFB, IL, then in '85 off to Korea for a year. Back to Scott AFB, IL and in '90 off to Desert Shield/Desert Storm and returned to Scott AFB, IL and retired after 21 years on Aug 31 1992.

Our De Soto High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our De Soto High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
