Mike Evans, native of Desoto, Missouri, began perusing his interest in politics as Junior in High School by forming an informal group of active democrats to support the Clinton-Gore re-election campaign efforts in Jefferson County. Upon graduation, Evans enlisted in the U.S. Army as Intelligence Analyst, and was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, AZ and the National Security Agency at Ft. Meade MD.

His passion for politics grew while a student at the Kogod School of Business in Washington, DC. Evans never took his eye off the ball and spent his spare time interning on Capitol Hill and later working on the Presidential Campaign’s of Dick Gephardt and Retired General Wesley Clark while running his small marketing firm, M&T Productions, LLC.

In January 2004 with no money, no official positions and only a handful of supporters, 25 year-old U.S. Army Veteran Mike Evans announced his candidacy for U.S. Congress in Missouri's third district, “The Race to Replace Dick Gephardt”. Evans made a considerable campaign effort, finally endorsing another first time candidate, Missouri State Senator Jeff Smith who narrowly lost to U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan.

In March 2006 Evans accepted Chairman Dean’s nomination to represent Missouri’s Democratic Veterans as a member of the Veterans and Military Families Advisory Council. Evans is also a member of U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan’s Veterans Advisory Council, for Missouri's Third Congressional District.

Mike Evans was born August 13, 1978, in St. Louis, MO. Mike Evans and his younger sister, Patricia Goade, were raised by their parents, Roy and Denise Evans in Desoto, MO. Evans is a Graduate of DeSoto High School, and holds a B.S. Business Administration, Independent Marketing from The Kogod School of Business, and is completing his Master of Public Administration.

Evans is also a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Army Military Intelligence School and his professional experiences include marketing for the White House/National Science Foundation Program: The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, Educational Services, Inc. and former owner of M&T Productions, LLC. Evans also serves as a grant panelist member for Youth Ventures. Evans current works in Education.
