Pop developed thyroid cancer that spread to his pancreas and liver. He had surgery to remove the thyroid tumor (which was quite large) and did well through the surgery and went home after 4 days.
He then died suddenly the day after returning home.
He loved his days at Dayton High School and told us all many stories of his time there.
He was literally smiling and joking to the end. Please remember him well.
