Reading for Pleather NEW LIBRARY Lounge Fundraiser

The Dartmouth High School Library is moving…across the hall into the old gym! The repurposed space will have new shelving, high ceilings and a lovely refinished hardwood floor. We would also like to have a cozy lounge area in the new library.

We have launched our “Reading for Pleather” campaign, so-called because we are hoping to furnish the lounge with some faux leather (or “pleather”) sofas and chairs. The DHS Student Library Advisory Council (SLAC) is spearheading this initiative by having bake sales, book sales, a "Pennies for Pleather" jar and other fundraising activities. If you are interested in helping us in our “Reading for Pleather” campaign, you can contact Ms. Patricia Madden, our librarian, via email at patricia.madden@hrsb.ca or at DHS at 464-2457, extension 4001011.
