About | Lydia Marie Minincleri, 49, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at her home in Kingston after a short illness. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Emily (Sica) Minincleri. She had lived in Kingston for 14 years, previously living in Pembroke, Plymouth and Dartmouth. Ms. Minincleri was a graduate of Dartmouth High School in Dartmouth and went on to further her education by obtaining her bachelor of music degree in 1974 from the University of Lowell, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her master of education degree from Bridgewater State College in 1995 and also attended Fitchburg State College and the University of Massachusetts while working on continuing education courses. She was employed by the Martinson Middle School (now the Furnace Brook Middle School) in Marshfield, where she worked as acting principal from 1991 to 1996 and was given the position of assistant principal from 1996 to 1999. She was promoted to the position of principal in 1999. Previously, from 1974 to 1991, Ms. Minincleri was employed as a music specialist at the Furnace Brook Middle School, where she specialized in bands, choruses and music appreciation classes for both middle school and collaborative children. Her ability to take on several responsibilities efficiently and her motivational skills in facilitating participative management were truly assets to her. Survivors include a son, Matthew P. Fritze of Kingston; three sisters, Elizabeth "Liz" St. Pierre of North Dartmouth, Gina M. Nolan of Mattapoisett and Kathy Walecka and her husband, Jeffrey, both of North Dartmouth; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. |
