Samantha Bates graduated from Bridgewater State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Psychology. While at BSU, Sam was a four year member of the Student Government Association where she held the position of Resident-at-Large. She was a member of the Founding class of the Gamma Iota Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority. She was also involved in Residence Life by being a member of the Residence Hall Association, National Residence Hall Honorary and held a Resident Assistant position. Student affairs is meaningful to her because she want to make a difference in the lives of her students like so many professionals have done for her. Sam enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports (favorite team is the Red Sox), and listening to music. She is currently a MAP-Works Graduate Retention Fellow in the Enrollment Management office at Salem State. She looks forward to getting further into the program.
