Doug was a childhood friend. He had great athletically ability, loved football & track. In 1969, as a sophomore, Doug set the Dallas Center-Grimes HS long jump record of near 23'. It stood for 50+ years. Doug lived in Arkansas for years. Working as a handy man & was a great neighbor.
