Mr. Joseph John "Joe" Ridgley, 55, died suddenly on Monday, January 15, 2018.

Born on February 1, 1962 in Cypress, CA, he was the son of late Gordon Lloyd Lawitzke (9 Aug 1938-27 Mar 2005) and Christine Jennie Arebalo. His parents divorced in Feb 1968. Soon after his mother married Gary Lynn Ridgley, Gary adopted him and his brother, James. Joe married his first wife, Charlotte Ann Belcher, on 26 Oct 1985. They had four children: Gretchen, Jozef "Joey", John, and William. He married his second wife, Jean S Webb and they had one son Nicholas.

Joe graduated from Cypress High School in Cypress, California and soon joined the US Navy. In 1989 he served on USS Constellation CV-64. In 1990 he served on the USS Independence CV-62. (AT1 US NAVY, PERSIAN GULF) Joe first lived in California and then moved to Nebraska.

He is survived by his mother, brother, half sister, Jennifer, both wives and all five children. Joe was preceded in death by his birth father, Gordon Lloyd Lawitzke, his father, Gary Lynn Ridgley, on 25 Mar 2015 and his half sister, Kathleen Linda Ridgley Walker, on 27 Sep 2015.
