About Me	My initial plan, after high school, was to be a dance major at the University of Akron. Even though I enjoyed teaching ballet to young children, I knew that a career in dance would be uncertain and demanding. Since I enjoyed teaching young children, I decided to major in Elementary Education at the University of Akron. The Manchester Local School district hired me upon graduating in 1980. I taught both first and second grade at Nolley Elementary for 35 years and loved every minute being in the classroom. My husband, Chuck, and I have been married for 38 years. We have two children and two grandsons that keep us active and loving life!
