Norman Went into the US Navy right after graduation. At the end of WW II, Norman joined a US Marine Corps reserve unit in Shelby. The unit was called into service at the very beginning of the Korean conflict. Norman was serving with the 2nd Engineer Battalion in fierce combat in mid-1950 and was killed in action. He is buried in Hawaii at the Punchbown Cemetery on Oahu..
