MPS ALL ALUMNI REUNION. ALL SCHOOLS. ALL CLASSES. 2.23.16 @BMO Harris Bradley Center | Milwaukee

Hi my name is T. R. Williams and I serve as the Alumni and Student Engagement coordinator in the Department of Business, Community and Family Partnerships with Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS).

I had the opportunity to speak with Principal Turner at Custer about what this Department is trying to do in MPS.

Long story short, MPS wants to support our alumni as part of our MPS Forever Family. Some high schools have formal alumni associations, other high schools want to begin organizing and others just want an easy way to help their alma mater and share their experiences with current students. I am here to help with all of that!

I AM LOOKING FOR ALL CUSTER ALUMNAE/I. I am willing to meet for coffee, lunch or after work to discuss how MPS can support alumni in their efforts to support the great work happening at Custer (now known as OBAMA SCTE).

Please feel free to contact me by email at: willia73@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.

ALSO...As a way to bring alumnae/i together and as a way for MPS to celebrate our alumnae/i, I am organizing an All Classes, All Schools, MPS Alumni Reunion. The first ever in MPS History.

Please pass along the following information:

Sergeant Paul Frazier - 1967

I am not a Custer High alum, but I am writing in regards to a graduate named Paul Frazier. My name is Erin Miller, and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Last fall, I began volunteering at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and conducting interviews with local Vietnam veterans.

While I was there, I came across the 37 servicemen from Wisconsin who are, or were previously, listed as missing in action from the Vietnam War. I tried to follow up on the accounts of several of the men, including Sergeant Paul Frazier, but was not able to find out much beyond federal reports. Honoring our veterans and soldiers is something I feel very strongly about and I was hoping to be able to do this for the Vietnam War MIAs. I've been working on a small book about these servicemen, with a section on each of the men. To do this, I’ve been reaching out to families, friends, and others who served with them in order to put together short biographies about their lives before and during their service.

Sergeant Paul Frazier served with the 191st Assault Helicopter Company. On September 3, 1968, he was a part of a crew on a helicopter that crashed over South Vietnam, and has since been listed as MIA.

I believe Sergeant Frazier graduated from Custer in 1967 and I was wondering if any of his classmates would be willing to speak with me about their memories of him. I would greatly appreciate the help. Anyone could contact me at my email - eem1919@gmail.com - or by my cell phone, (608) 438-8178.

Thank you for your time.
Erin Miller
