| About Me | I 'm grateful for my education (including Cupertino High), my family, friends, and the satisfying work I've had. I'm married to Will Johnson, whom I met at U.C. Berkeley. We've lived in Berkeley, San Francisco, and for the past forty years (!), in Oakland. We have two daughters and five grandchildren, who are our joy. All live nearby. Yaay. My mom, age 95, now lives in Cupertino with my brother, Richard, and his wife, so I'm at the old homestead regularly. Some dear friends are still with me from good old Hyde Junior High to CHS and even the same college. At UC Berkeley, I got a BA in political science and a master's in journalism. I've worked for the past years as an editor--as it's turned out, mostly in the fields of health, healthcare policy, and social science. At the American Society on Aging, I was editor of a journal and other publications for gerontologists and was director of publications. Most recently, I've been editing an online quarterly for a project at Boston University School of Social Work. I like reading, gardening, hiking, being with family and friends On being old?
