Served 6 1/2 years in the Army Signal Corp., went thru basic in S.C., was stationed at Ft. Gordon, Ga., Presidio of San Fransisco, Ca., and Kaiserslautern, Germany. I was an E-5 when I got out.

After graduating from the US Air Force Academy June 1963, I attended pilot training, earning my wings at Laredo AFB, Texas. I served in SEA in 1966-1967 and had numerous stateside assignments before serving a year in South Korea. I returned to the US in 1977 to assignments which included the USAFA, and I finished my career as the Air Attaché in the US Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. I was able to fly both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft throughout my career.

23 and a half years of active duty service. Four combat tours and numerous visits to places around the world. Wounded in Afghanistan in 2010, retired in 2011. Living in the Fort Campbell area. Thanks to all our service men and women.

Enlisted in US Navy October 1965. Basic training San Diego, CA. Served aboard USS Newport News CA148 and USS Conyngham DDG17. Completed 4 year active duty. Finished my naval career with rank CTM2. After departing the US Navy I studied at UT Knoxville and UTCHS Memphis, TN. graduating with DDS degree. During Army career, consisting of Army Reserve and Active duty, served with 377 CSH during Desert Shield/Desert Storm during which I served in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait. 4+ years in Grafenwoehr, Germany as OIC of dental clinic, served with 101st Airborne, Ft. Camp[bell, KY. 3+ years. While serving at Ft. Campbell, attached to 86th CSH and served with NATO peace-keeping tour in Kosovo. Served with 380th Medical Co. in Balad, Iraq during OIF. I am extremely proud to have served in two branches of our Armed Forces. It was an honor!

Our Cumberland County High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Cumberland County High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Crossville are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
