| About Me | "I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go. My own wisdom, and that of all about me, seemed insufficient for the day." -- Abraham Lincoln Michele Potteiger and I were married in 1993 after dating for about 4 years (CV high school sweethearts). She used to pass me letters in Mr. Beam's typing class as she could type about 100WPM and I could never keep up. After we were married I had graduated from HACC and transferred to New York Institute of Technology to finish my B. Arch. We lived on Long Island, East Meadows to be exact just off of 24 (Hempstead Turnpike) and the Wantagh Parkway. What a change of environments. The area helped me to see the effects of sprawl and I saw what my family members would see in 10-20 years. Changes to Silver Springs Speedway and the "auto malling" of the Carlisle Pike are steps in the wrong direction. Before I graduated I decided to continue to study architecture and urban design and applied to MIT for grad school. I was accepted and we moved to Allston, MA about 3 miles outside downtown Boston. We fell in love with the area and were there for about 3 years and moved because it was a large distance to travel for family. We headed back to PA in 2000, moving to Roxborough, PA and then bought a house in our favorite small town East Falls. Long live the Syndicate. We enjoyed Philly for quite sometime until we felt a pull towards Harrisburg. Looking back it was God's providential hand guiding where we would end up. The house we bough in Midtown was put on the market - FSBO - just 15 minutes before we passed by it. We have become great friends with the previous home owners. Back in March of 2007 God transformed my life. At the time our family was attending Harris Street Church for about a year, actually Michele regularly attended and I was the occasional visitor. I attended Sunday School and church because of my daughter. I wasn't fully committed to what being a Christian fully meant. I was lost during my college years and I thank God to this day that He didn't forget about me. Palm Sunday of 2007 I renounced leading my own life and accepted Christ's leadership (Romans 10:9-10) and made a commitment to God to pray daily and read the Bible daily. I have tried my best to do that every day. I can attest that God's Word is extremely powerful and truly the Living Word. I thank God for his wonderful gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ and I thank God for the blessing of a wonderful wife and two wonderful daughters.
