He is survived by his stepsons, Andrew Tuesburg and Art Tuesburg; sister, Alice. He was preceded in death by his parents. Silas was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 502. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., dinner to follow at The American Legion, 429 W. 750 N., Valparaiso, IN 46385.
