About Me	Upon graduation from TCU, I entered the Army and remained until I retired in 1990. Some of the locations to which I was assigned included Vietnam; Korea; Berlin Germany; Karlsruhe Germany; Fort Benning, GA; Fort Bliss, TX; Fort Hood, TX, Fort Monroe, VA; and Birmingham, AL. Some of my military assignments included rifle platoon leader, weapons platoon leader, company executive officer, company commander, various staff personnel management positions, operations and intelligence officer positions, and various and repeated Chief Executive Officer (CEO) positions managing morale, welfare, and recreation businesses and programs. After retirement from the Army, I managed my own rental properties and home inspection company. In my spare time, and for fun, I completed a college legal assistant program. My wife, Paulette McBeath, and I moved back to Crowell where we lived for the last five years of her life. We were very happily married for 46 and half years. We enjoyed our involvement in that wonderful hometown community. I especially cherish the memories of our work together with others to bring about the Foard County Veterans Memorial Wall. In late 2013, I was very pleased to have joy restored to my life when I married a grade school sweetheart, Paulette Mayfield McGlamery, who was also recently widowed. (Yes, her name is also Paulette. Likewise, both of our spouses died on the same day of the month six months apart from brain cancer.)
