Elona M. Otterbein passed away on November 22, 2012 in her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 4, 1950 in Crookston, MN, the eldest child of Lyle and Elvie (Sundhausen) Quist.
After graduating from Central High School in Crookston, she lived in Grand Forks, ND and Crookston before moving to New York City in 1970. She met her husband, Donald, while living in New York. They were married at Camp Lejeune, NC on April 12th, 1971. After he retired from the military they decided to move to Vancouver, WA. She was working as a Coach Operator for C-Tran in Vancouver until her death.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Donald A. Otterbein Sr.; two sons, Troy S. (Raquel) Otterbein of Baton Rouge, LA and Donald A. Otterbein Jr. of Hopkins, MN; and a daughter, Tara A. Campbell of Keewatin, MN; three grandchildren, Alex and Hartleigh (children of Tara) and Ezequiel (son of Troy); her father, Lyle Quist of Crookston, MN; her sister, Vivian (Duane) Kaiser of Bemidji, MN; and her sister-in-law, Anna Quist of Redmond, OR. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elvie Quist; and her brother, Duane Quist.
