About Me	Thinking about all the changes we are getting ready to undertake in 2013...on 31 May, Steve will reach his mandatory retirement date with the US Army, so after starting this unique lifestyle on 18 Aug 1979, we will hang up his uniforms and fade away. We plan to literally return to our roots by putting down roots in middle TN near Ft Campbell. So after 34 yrs on active duty, 18 PCS moves, 9 states and 3 foreign countries we called home, 3 kids and 4 dogs, we will move back to the hills of TN sans kids (they grew up!) and 2 beloved dogs (who wait for us on at the Rainbow Bridge) to start a new kind of life. Stay tuned for our continuing journey. In my youth: Nerd and Star Trek fan College: Nerd and engineering major. Still a Star Trek fan and added Star Wars too. 20's - 30's: Army wife, mom to Nate, Jake and Kate, practicing engineer, non-housekeeper (I told Steve I didn't do housework). Still a Trekkie 40's: Army wife and Army mom, full-time volunteer with military families and Boy/Girl Scouts. Did I mention I am a Trekkie. Discovered Harry Potter. 50's: Still an Army wife, Army mom (now I do this job by long distance), back to paid work (if you can call part time a genuine employment), still Scouting, still Trekking. Added Twilight (Go Team Jacob!) and The Hunger Games to my list of faves. Oh...(read more)
