At a young age, Ed and his family moved to San Diego into the family home where he grew up. He graduated from Crawford High School with the Class of 1976. After high school, Ed attended the University of California Berkeley from 1976-1980 where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with highest honors. In 1980, Ed moved to Oregon after accepting a job with Tektronix. After working for Tektronix for four years he joined a new start up company, Magni Systems Inc.
