About	Genevieve “Genny” Spradling passed away August 9, 2017 at Three Fountains nursing home in Medford, Oregon with her loved ones by her side. She was born July 15, 1939 in Central Point, Ore., the youngest of four children born to Virgil and Rosa Wright. Genny lived in Central Point all of her life and attended Central Point Elementary and Crater High School, where she met her future husband during a blind date. On December 1, 1956, Genny married her high school sweetheart, Marvin “Bud” Spradling. Together they made their home in Central Point, Ore. and had three children. They had a love-filled, wonderful marriage for almost 61 years. Genny, who always enjoyed the company of others, spent 20 years driving school bus #10 for Central Point School District, and was a cashier at Bi-Mart for five years. Genny is survived by her spouse, Bud Spradling of Central Point; sons, David and Steven (Theresa); and daughter, Connie (Mark Darris); six granddaughters; and eight great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother, David Wright; her sister, Rena Cruse; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her father; mother; sister, Corina Beams; and her niece, Jamie McWhorter. Genny enjoyed crafts, working in her flowers beds, and camping at the coast with her husband; and occasionally, on hunting trips. She had a huge collection of Betty Boop figurines and memorabilia. Genny deeply loved and supported her family, and she never missed any of their sporting events, all the while being the loudest in the stands. Even with her being called home, her family knows she is still surrounding her family with her love. A celebration of life for Genny Spradling is planned August 19, 2017 11:00 a.m. at 363 West Gregory Rd in Central Point. In lieu of cash and gifts the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Meals on Wheels.
