Jacqueline "Jackie" Rae Blood, 59, of Central Point, died Sunday (Sept. 10, 2000) at her home. Private inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

She was born Jacqueline Rae Pepper on May 3, 1941, in Central Point, a daughter of Larry and Madge Berry Pepper. On Sept. 17, 1983, in Reno, Nev., she married Phillip Blood, who survives.
She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life, and worked for many years as a grocery checker at VanWey’s Market in Jacksonville.
She was a member of the Rogue Valley Country Club and enjoyed golf, bowling, and collecting ceramic frogs.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Raymond Hayes, Medford, Glenn Hayes, Independence, Mo., and Ryan VanWey, Ontario; three daughters, Diana Myers, Medford, Lori Weaver, Central Point, and Renee Rose, Klamath Falls; six brothers, Mike, Pat and Buddy Pepper, all Medford, Dan and Steve Penland, both Medford, and Mark Penland, Nevada; four sisters, Debbie Suttle and Michelle Oliver, both Medford, Sally Sloan, Houston, Tex., and Linda Kreftmeyer, Boise, Idaho; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant grandson and granddaughter.
