About Me	We can not always build the future for our YOUTH; however, we can build our YOUTH for the FUTURE. (Franklin Delano Roosevelt) Judi Liner Coventry School Committee Representative, District 5 ******************************************************** Hello! I currently reside in Coventry with my husband, 2 daughters and our small dog. My immediate family, with the exception of my brother, currently reside in RI. :-) Prior to having children, I taught elementary school aged children in the Cranston Public School Department. Since having children, I resigned from my teaching career (at my husband's strong suggestion); and, become actively involved in my children's education (i.e. volunteering in their schools to work with children; currently serving as a co-President of the Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School of Coventry's PTSA; as well as on the school's School Improvement Team and Family Engagement Committee. I have recently joined our district's Curriculum Council and the RI Association of School Committees. On November 2, 2010, I was elected to serve as a district representative on the Coventry School Committee. I am thrilled that I am currently in a position to work collaboratively with others, to effect positive change, in our educational system. In addition to spending time with family and friends and watching my girls play basketball and softball, I enjoy visiting Coventry's schools- speaking with administrators, teachers, staff, parents and students, re: continuing to strive for educational excellence. I also enjoy attending School Committee, Town Council and PTA/PTSA, etc. meetings. I am contemplating returning to college to work on a doctorate level degree in school administration.
