Jan and I met in Little League back in 1961. He was a year ahead of me in school but we were friends throughout high school. I lost touch with him, but met his two sons a few years back. One of them, Jake, was pretty much the spitting image of his dad.
I found out that Jan had moved to Parowan, Utah, and trained thoroughbred race horses! Sadly, Jan passed away from colon cancer, back around 2006. His son, Jake, also passed away around 2019 from a brain aneurysm..
