Richard Wooten

Class of 1968

Graduating from Coulterville High School in 1968, Mr. Richard Wooten has proven year after year that he is the district's greatest fan. Examples of his dedication to the district could be observed over the years as he not only attended many sporting activities, but also ensured the proper learning environment for the students by sitting on the school board for more than twenty years. Presently, he is the president of the Coulterville Unit District #1 School Board. A location where his words and actions echo responsibility to the students, respect for all, and a determination to keep Coulterville on the cutting edge of education. I have been in education for more than twenty-five years and I can say without reservation that Mr. Richard Wooten is the best school board member/president that I have ever had the privelage of working with. Under his guidance & approval, the facuIty has obtained tremendous accomplishments (i.e., ISBE Honors, INSPRA Honors, and multiple teacher of the year awards). I highly recommend him for your consideration. L. Obernuefemann, Ph.D.
