I went on active duty Dec 1970. Completed Navigator training in May 1972. Completed upgrade into KC-135 in October. Participated in Linebacker II in the Tonkin Gulf refueling fighters. My permanent assignment was Beale AFB, CA. I went TDY(now called deployed) to Philipines, Alaska, Spain, Okinawa, England, Labarador, plus refueling stops in Turkey and Thailand. I was involved in refueling the SR-71

Our Couch High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Couch High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Myrtle are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
