About	After an extended battle with esophageal cancer, Gary Duane Perkins passed away on Tuesday, October 25, surrounded by loving family. Born in Corvallis June 19, 1944, he was preceded in death by his parents, William Norris Perkins and Lois Irene Kinnett Perkins. He is survived by wife Darlene; brother Larry (Judy); stepchildren Tod (Stephanie) Tucker and Toni (Warren) Weaver; grandchildren Nicholas and Luke Tucker and Emma and Elizabeth Weaver; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary was proud to be a city league ping pong champion, an army chef at Ford Ord, and a long-time baseball player for the Stein Tavern. As a life-long lover of animals, we ask that contributions in his memory go to the Humane Society. A celebration of life will be from 2 to 5pm Saturday, November 5, at Murphy's Tavern in Corvallis. To honor Gary's life-long love of the Beavers and beer, please wear your favorite OSU gear or a beer t-shirt.
