About	Michael Wayne Riley, formerly of Corvallis, died Saturday at Alpine North Nursing Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 52. He was born in Spokane, WA to Wayne and Leah Renn Riley. He was raised on a farm near Rosalia, Washington until the age of 8 when he moved with his family to a farm near Corvallis. He graduated Corvallis High School in 1962 and earned a double degree from Oregon State University in agricultural technology and animal science. He served as an aviator in the US Navy from 1967 to 1972, when he was honorably discharged. He was a pilot for Braniff Airlines for 15 years, and had flown for Southwest Airlines for five years. He is survived by his wife, Maria, and sons Wayne T, Riley and Mathew R. Riley all of Kansas City, Missouri; his mother Leah Riley of Corvallis, and a sister, Paulette Heilbrum of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Visitations will be from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, January 22 at McHenry Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10am, Thursday, January 23 at Oaklawn Memorial Park ... full military honors will be provided by Corvallis American Legion Post No. 11 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Brain Tumor Institute in care of McHenry Funeral Home.
