Gary Joseph Groder, Sr., 60, died Monday, July 4 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.
He was born September 12, 1944, in Mt. Vernon, NY to Roland and Katherine Martinque Groder. He was a retired US Army Captain and served in the Vietname War.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna S. Groder; sons, Gary J. Grodeer, Jr. of NC, and David J. Groder of the home; daughters, Dana Donner and Catherine Long, both of NC; six grandchildren, and a brother, David McCluskey of Maine.
A memorial Mass will be at 10am Friday, July 8, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association ...
