About	Corvallis GT 1/25/89: Fisheries biologist Dennis Stuart Lund, died of caner at his Newport home Monday. He was 44. He was born May 26, 1944, to Walter & Dorothy Durr Lund in Corvallis. He attended Corvallis Schools & graduated from Oregon State University with a master's degree in fishery sciences. He worked for marine science programs in Alaska & Hawaii and started working for the Hatfield Marine Science Center in 1986. He retired in the fall of 1988 due to illness. He had worked as a fisheries biologist for 16 years. He married his wife, Sally, in Honolulu on December 27, 1983. Mr. Lund was a member of Unity By the Sea Church in Gleneden Beach & a member of the American Fisheries Society. Survivors include his wife, Sally, of Newport; his mother, Dorothy Lund of Corvallis; his brother, Charles Lund of Corvallis & several nieces & nephews.
