Jerry Dean Kabler, 31, died Sunday evening -- July 25, 1975 -- of an accidental drowning in the Willamette River at the Oregon State University Crew docks.
Son of Donald T. & Crystal Baughman Kabler, he was born Nov 5, 1943 at Portland and came with his family in 1945 to Corvallis. He was a graduate of Corvallis High School and was an active member of the Future Farmers of America through which he earned the state farmer degree. Mr. Kabler was a member of the Suburban Christian church, the Corvallis Chapter of the Order of Demolay, the Corvallis Lodge Order of Moose, and was an officer in the Willamette Grange.
