Enlisted aircrew member, two-tour Vietnam service in B52, KC135, and EC130E. One of twelve Vietnam-era enlisted to be awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in addition to seven Air Medals. Research meteorology in NJC-130, NASA CV-880, and MC-130. Participated in data collection for the NASA STS-3 space launch, in a round-the-world data-gathering flight whilst assigned to NASA, and in the US Army laser-guided munitions certification tests.

Unit Citation: Bronze Star with the 117th AHC for 92 consequtive days of unit readiness and combat assaults during the Tet Offensive.
