Navy, 20+ Years
When I was a freshman at Allegheny College, Meadville, PA....WWII broke out. During my sophomore year at Allegheny I joined the Army (1943-1945). After my Army hitch, I took two years off and completed my college degree at Allegheny. I then rejoined the military, this time...the Navy as an aviator since I had served as an Army aviator. For the next 24 years I flew aircraft, B 24, B29 and C130's. I retired in 1968 as a Lt. Cmdr. in Hawaii. I then flew for a commercial airline for the next 20 or so years and I am now retired and living in Dania Beach, FL.

I joined the Air Force in 1983. I was stationed at Han Air Base west Germany from 1983-1987. Then I came back to the United States and was stationed at Pease AFB, New Hampshire until 1990. I then was stationed at Whiteman AFB Missouri until 1997. I then was stationed at Kunsan Air Base South Korea from 1997-1998. I returned to Whiteman AFB Missouri 1998-2007. I been on numerous deployments throughout my Air Force Career to include the Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom and final retired after 24 years of serving my country in 2007. God bless the USA!
