| Events | Clarence A. "Buzz" Hoffman PELICAN RAPIDS, Minn. - Clarence Arthur "Buzz" Hoffman, 54, formerly of Cornell, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at his home in Pelican Rapids, Minn. He was born Feb. 11, 1945, in Cornell, the son of Clarence Arthur Sr and Uldine (Schnelle) Hoffman. He grew up in Cornell and graduated from Cornell High School in 1963. Buzz was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam conflict and was in the active reserves. He received his bachelors degree in accounting from UW-Eau Claire in 1975 and grad- uated In 1985 in California with a masters degree in finance. He was vice president of ThrustMaster in Portland, Ore., before retiring to Pelican Rapids. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Lakey, and his son, Matthew Hoffman, both of Portland, Ore .; his mother, Uldine Martin of Chippewa Falls; his sisters, Bonnie Zinsli of San Diego, Calif., Betty Flagstad of East Bethel, Minn., and Beverly Hoffman of St. Paul, Minn .; his grandson, Gabriel Lakey of Portland, Ore .; as well as nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Arthur Sr. A funeral service will be held at'4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000. at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home, Eau Claire, with visitation starting at 3 p.m. |
