After graduation, I worked for a year at Amneon Acquisitions on their factory floor; helping package tackboards, putting fabric on desk chairs, and putting together furniture part kits. In July of 2009, I was laid off before I was admitted to Grand Rapids Community College. During my two years there, I got to experience everything downtown had to offer, and it was amazing. I also studied Chinese and Arabic. I then transferred to Muskegon CC, where I earned my Associate's in Science and Arts this past December. I have recently been admitted to Grand Valley State University, which had been my plan from the beginning. I'm current living with my moms in Allendale within walking distance of GV, and I work part-time at the Wendy's in Standale after transferring from the one on Apple Avenue in Muskegon.
