Terry Orr, born on September 27, 1961, in Savannah, Georgia, is a well-known former American football player. Orr played as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). His high school years were spent refining his skills at Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas.

After high school, Orr continued showcasing his talents at the University of Texas. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 10th round of the 1985 NFL Draft. Orr had a commendable career, playing for the Washington Redskins from 1986-1990 and again from 1991-1993, with a brief stint with the San Diego Chargers in 1990.

Reflecting on his impressive football career stats, Orr played in a total of 105 games. He managed to secure 52 receptions, cover 939 receiving yards, and score 10 touchdowns. However, Terry Orr's life was not without controversy. In August 2001, he was sentenced to fourteen months in prison for defrauding three former Redskins players and a Georgia businessman with a failed shoe company.

On a personal note, Orr is the father of four sons, Terrence, Zach, Nick, and Chris. Zach is currently the inside linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens, while Nick is currently a free agent, and Chris plays for the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL).
