Robert Sloan, born on 14 July 1983 in Paisley, Scotland, is a celebrated Scottish footballer who had an impactful career across a series of teams in the Scottish football leagues. Currently, he plays for the Armadale Thistle in the Scottish Junior Football Association, East Region.

Sloan started his professional career with Heart of Midlothian, or Hearts, making his debut at the age of 18. Despite early challenges and limited opportunities in the wake of fierce competition from Jean-Louis Valois, Sloan managed to hold his ground in the team. He later went on a 6-month loan move to Alloa in January 2003 where he completed 16 appearances scoring 8 goals.

In the years that followed, Sloan became a highly sought-after player, with several teams vying for his talent. His journey took him to teams like St Johnstone, Raith Rovers, and East Fife.

During his career, Sloan not only delivered excellent performances but also saw some remarkable career highlights. One such prime moment occurred in the 2005–06 Scottish Cup when he scored the winning goal for Alloa, leading them to a surprising victory over the SPL side Livingston.

After his tenure with East Fife, Sloan moved to Bo'ness United. He later joined Linlithgow Rose on a two-year contract in 2017.
