What is Dowell Loggains known for?

Born in Newport, Arkansas on October 1, 1980, Dowell Loggains has emerged as a prominent figure in the world of American football. A former student of Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas, this exceptional football coach has a passion for sports that dates back to his high school days.

Loggains started his coaching career with the Tennessee Titans, serving as the offensive quality control coach from 2008 to 2009. He then moved up the ranks to serve as the team's quarterbacks coach from 2010 to 2011 and then as the offensive coordinator from 2012 to 2013.

After his tenure with the Titans, he joined the coaching staff of the Cleveland Browns in 2014 as the quarterbacks coach. His coaching journey took him to the Chicago Bears the following year, where he served as quarterbacks coach in 2015 and then as their offensive coordinator from 2016 to 2017.

This was followed by stints as the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins in 2018, the New York Jets from 2019 to 2020, and the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2023. He also served as a tight ends coach for Arkansas from 2021 to 2022.

At the Chicago Bears, Loggains notably helped quarterback Jay Cutler to have one of his best seasons. Under Loggains' guidance, Cutler ended 2015 with 3,629 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and career highs in passer ratings (92.3) and completion percentage (64.4%).
