I knew Mike somewhat during our high school days; we did not run in the same crowds but he was always friendly to me in his own way. When I was in law school in Austin from 1973-76, I ran into Mike at the Coop and we had a nice conversation. He had married by then to a Jewish girl who attended UT when I did - 1964-68. Several years later our paths crossed again when he joined Great Hills CC here in Austin, and he called out to me from the driving range. By then he was going as KEN Duncan; his father was Kenneth Michael and he went as Ken, so our Mike went as Mike to distinguish himself. After his father died, he started going as Ken. His death was a real shock and a real loss, as he was well known around Great Hills due to his rather outgoing personality. A good guy.
