About Me	The big exciting things: lived in the amazon jungle for a year, thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, travelled to Latin America, Europe, and India, taught on a traveling environmental education program for the last decade or so, and am now working to revive the program/start it over. Got married to a great guy and bought a fabulous (to us) house in rural Maine (so also cheap!) in a great community (with similarities to northern MN). Loved my life so far (found most adventure opportunities through low paid work with travel as a benefit) and have lived hand to mouth (only a few years with a consistent job with bennies) so looking forward to a very late retirement and a simple one at that!! Hmmm, followed in the footsteps of my father who always claimed he'd "retired in his 20's"--I've done the traveling and adventure that most wait to do until after retiri...(read more)
